そこで家族に聞いてみたよ。

母: I learned "tearjerker" and a movie that makes you cry is called tearjerker movie today. What is your tearjerker movie?
娘: I cry so easily. I cried for "12 Years a Slave". I cried for "Roma". I cried so much for "A Star is Born". And I cried even for "Deadpool 2".
母: You cried for "Deadpool"?😂 We definitely cried so much for "マリと子犬の物語" together, didn't we?
娘: I remember that! I was surprised that Dad didn't cry when he watched that movie.
父: I did! I cried. My tearjerker movie is "Your Name". That movie was really good.
娘: Ahh. I cried too!! That one definitely makes you cry! How about yours mom?
母: Mine is "A Monter Calls". As a mother that really made me cry. I didn't cry for "君の名は".
娘: Because you watched the dubbed one. You need to see the original one.
私: The scene of grandpa and grandma getting older and older together from "Up" always makes me cry big time.
父: Yeah. But that's just a tiny part. Not sure if you can call it a tearjerker movie. "Whale Rider" is a good one too but not because it's sad. Because it's moving.
とまあ、出てくる出てくる。
"Life Is Beautiful" も泣けたし、私は "Hachi" でも泣いたし、あ〜 "Les Misérables" も絶対泣くパターン。
（最近は "Do You Hear the People Sing?" を聴くだけ、ウルウルする私。）
母親になってからは、子供が親元を離れていくだの、子供が結婚するだの、同じ親としてついつい『ああ…うちの子もいつか…。』と想像して、直ぐに泣けてきちゃうんですよね。
（"Finding Nemo" でも "Toy Story 2" でも泣きました😭。）
