have a pop at / take the mickey
it takes all sorts (to make a world) - ペリカン英語日記
また例の ”Obviously you are older than me.”
Nice try.👍)
D: Ohayo-gozai-masu!
Wow! You know Japanese!
Me: What a timing. That’s the gentleman who I was just talking to you about! Do you know him?
D: I think I have seen him before.
Me: He does look clearly older than me right? I can be nice but he doesn’t look younger than me. Would you be offended if I say the same thing to you?
D: Not at all. I don’t care. So he had a pop at you. Or he was taking the mickey.
でも、ニーハオのおじさんは ”popped at me” より、多分 ”taking the mickey” な感じだったかな😄。
