Don’t cry over spilled milk.

まだ外は暗い明け方前、夫婦揃ってトイレで目を覚ましました。

トイレ行きたい前って夢見る事多いですよね。

赤ペン先生: I had a weird dream. I was at the beach and saw some Japanese people having Nomikai. And I joined them and gave them my business card but it was some Japanese company. Then next we were at the top of the hill and tried to go down the hill to the city. I was telling these Japanese folks "バスで行くと時間が掛かりますよ。車２台で行きましょう。" So bizarre.

私: I had a dream too. I was holding a pack of milk and dropped it on the floor. The container broke and started leaking and I was so disappointed to waste so much milk. 
赤ペン先生: You shouldn't get disappointed; don't cry over spilled milk. "Don't cry over spilled milk" means there is no use in being upset over situations that have already happened and cannot be changed.

私: We have the same expression in Japanese. But not milk but water. We say

"覆水盆に返らず". 
赤ペン先生: I wonder if that expression came from Japan...

私: It could come from China...

赤ペン先生: Of course everything comes from China.

などと話しながら、また再び二人で眠りに落ちました。

それにしても、日本語ペラペラの英語人赤ペン先生、夢の中でも日本語喋るんだ〜。

スゴ〜い😳。

私は夢の中で英語を喋る事は、あんまり無いですね😅。（まだまだやな〜。）

ところで、５月の第一土曜日は

"World Naked Gardening Day"

って知ってました？

あら〜、すっかり忘れてて、服を着たまま玄関前の植木さん達をチョキチョキ刈ってしまいました😂。

植木刈りにバタバタしてたら、知らぬ間に可愛い訪問客さんが家の中にいらっしゃいました😃。
