unscrupulous

私も随分前に人間の遺骨からダイヤモンドを作る話は聞いて知っていましたが、ペットの遺骨や毛からでも作られるとは知りませんでした。

Jasmin にその話をしたら

J: How do you know that the diamond is really made from your pet’s remains? 

Me: Well... The company is in Switzerland so it must be reliable...right?

J: You never know! It may be unscrupulous. I don’t believe it.

と、これは昨日の会話。

この後 Jasmin から

“Unscrupulous means ruthless without good morals”

とメールをくれました😊。

昨日は Jasmin にもブログ開設の報告😊。

今日は”unscrupulous” について書く話しをすると

J: You need a practice. You have to make a sentence using that word. Try it.

Me: 😱‼︎ 😨😨... 

Me: Umm... You brought your car to the car repair shop but I think that shop is unscrupulous...

J: Because....

Me: Because....😥

J: Because they rip you off. They charge you more than they are supposed to.

おさらいするのは難しいね😵。

ただ…娘に上の例題は良くないと指摘を受けました。”unscrupulous” はもっと悪どいでしょ〜と😅。なるほどぉ、言われてみれば確かに。例を挙げるならば、オレオレ詐欺みたいな輩がunscrupulous ですね。
