BBC Radio 6 Music を堪能してま〜す🤗。
いや〜、最近ちょっとイイもの見つけちゃったんですよね〜🤩。
それは私の大好きな Cillian Murphy 氏が curator を務めるラジオ番組ですぅ。
キャァァァ‼︎😍😍
おまけに、スタジオではなく彼の自宅の basement で録音しているって事で、何か色々想像しちゃってドキドキしちゃいます。
元々ミュージシャンだった Cillian さんですが、俳優となった今でも音楽は彼の人生の大事な一部分で、

この番組、実際には真夜中に放送されているんだと思いますが、BBC Sounds から録音されたこの番組が好きな時に聞けるんですね〜。
有難や〜🙏。
幾ら彼の事好きでも、真夜中に起きて聞くなんてオバさんには無理です〜。
自分の都合の良い時間に聞けるんですが、何となく真夜中の時間帯居る様な気分になります。
ただ残念なのは、この番組が limited edition 期間限定な事😢。
既に最初の Vol.1 は聞けなくなってしまっています。
昔なら、カセットテープに録音するって手がありましたけどね。（懐かしや〜あの時代😌。）
Vol. 2 から彼のお喋りの一部分を、何度も何度も繰り返し聞いて拾ってみました。

I will be rummaging through my CD collection to find some obscure unheard gem so I will be playing that later on.

"rummage through" など、幾つか分からない単語が出てきたので調べましたが、最後の unheard gem の gem を、jam と聞き間違えていました。
え？jam?! と思って一応調べたら、jam には『音楽』と言う意味もあったので、jam で合ってると思いきや、赤ペン先生から gem だよ〜と指摘されました。
うう、聞き取り難しい。
I am still here at the basement recording this. It feels like kinda getting a bit more seasonal since last week. And I put on the heating which I feel a bit guilty about. I should just probably put on the extra jumper that’s what my mother would say. “Cillian, put on the extra jumper. Don’t be wasting the energy like that.” But the next track I think my mother would approve of because it contains very useful and valuable advice. I think about how to live your life. It’s a track by David Shrigley who is a British artist. He is an amazing artist with amazingly dry sense of humor on top of his skill as an artist I have so much Shrigley merch in the house I realized. Shrigley mugs, Shrigley tea towels, Shrigley prints. This is some Shrigley music I heard it on the late night tale curated by Fourtets and this is called “Don’ts”.

ここでは特に調べる単語は無かったのですが、Shrigley mugs, Shrigley tea towels の前のクダリをちゃんと聞いていなかったので、Shrigley が形容詞だと思い必死でその意味を探していました。
人の名前でした〜😅。（ちゃんと前に言ってるし。）
好きかどうかは別として、Shrigley さんの曲 "Don'ts"は面白かったです。

その昔見た Australia 🇦🇺 の公共交通機関メトロのコマーシャル "Dumb Ways To Die" を思い出しちゃいました。
初めて見た時、かなり衝撃を受けたこの "Dumb Ways To Die" なんですが、意外と真面目な広告。

Shrigley さんはアーティストだと言う事で、どんな作風かも気になり検索してみましたが、Cillian が言ってた様に、なかなかの dry sense of humor 😂。
彼のアート作品 merch (merchandise の略。商品、製品、品物) も沢山あり、家の中に Shrigley さんの mugs や tea towels が結構あると言うのが分かる気がしました。

Kind of feel like I have to talk really quietly now. But that was a bit weird.
That was Brian Eno and it was “Deep Blue Day”. That was from the album “Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks”. So he originally made that for a documentary film about "Apollo missions". And it was initially just going to be a soundtrack but eventually he put commentary over it. You may be more familiar with that track from the scenes “Trainspotting” were Ewan McGregor climbs into the toilet to find his drugs. It’s one of those iconic scenes. It’s where Danny Boyle just shows his genius as a director. He maybe one of the kings of the needle drop in cinema. Maybe up there was Tarantino and Scorsese in terms of knowing when to drop a tune. Think about Iggy pop “Lust For Life” in “Trainspotting” also “Born Slippy”, “Paper Planes” in “Slumdog Millionaire” so many of them. He knows how to use contemporary music I think better than almost anybody.

"needle drop" なんて全く実用的な語彙では無さそうですが、気になってしまいました。

なるほど。
誰もがその曲を聴いたら、その曲が流れている映画の場合がパッと目に浮かんじゃうような感じって事ですね。
確かに、映画 "Trainspotting" にはそんな曲がいっぱい！
まだ観た事ない方は、"Trainspotting" も "Slumdog Millionaire" もおススメ映画ですよ👍。

"Needle drop" は、ドラマでも使えるんでしょうか？映画限定⁈
Cillian Murphy 氏主演の "Peaky Blinders" も、選曲がなかなかシブくて、ドラマとカッコよくマッチしていて、特に私の中では、"Brick By Brick" by Arctic Monkey = "Peaky Blinders" です。

コロナウイルスの世界的蔓延のせいで、映画やドラマの撮影が出来ないから、ラジオ番組を作る時間が出来たのかもしれませんが、６回限定じゃなく、ず〜っと続けてやって欲しいなぁ。
